Athena is a powerful and wise Olympian Goddess, who oversees and protects those who call upon her.

She became the Goddess of Crafts and Skills and other Peacetime pursuits. She was known as the patroness of spinning and weaving.

Although Athena is a warrior goddess, she does battle with wits, instead of weapons leading her to ultimately became allegorised to personify wisdom and righteousness.

The animal most associated with her is the Owl, as it has  exceptional night vision, symbolising Athena`s ability to “see”  when others cannot. It is said the Owl gives her wisdom and judgement.

She was the protectress of many cities, including Athens, which was named after her. You can call upon her for resolving disputes and also for protection. She is the archetype of authority and might. She inspired women and served as the main facilitator of their struggle for rights, power, and the ability to protect values that are important to them. A potent force that stimulated the development of ideas of equality and the existence of multiple opportunities for women. Light her incense and call upon her to help with creative projects such as writing, arts and craft.
